ActiveSync 4.5

ActiveSync 4.5

Download

You probably already have this, but if not, get it. This is a must have for any Windows Mobile Smartphone user with a Windows XP machine. ActiveSync will sync your contacts, calendar, notes, etc. with Outlook, and also provides a very nice interface for managing files and programs on your Windows Mobile Smartphone.

ActiveSync has been replaced by the Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) in Windows Vista. Goto your Control Panel > Windows Mobile Device Center to access it.

ActiveSync is suggested for many of the hacks on this site.

Check this out if you are unable to see the “Windows” directory on your Windows Mobile Smartphone using ActiveSync/WMDC.

plays2, FYI - Vista does not use ActiveSync, instead it uses Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) which can be accessed from Vista’s Control Panel.
