After App Unlock I Cant See My Windows Directory

After App Unlock I Can't See My Windows Directory

Several people have been reporting that after an application unlock they still can’t see the Windows directory on their Blackajck 2 after connecting with ActiveSync.

To fix this in Windows XP:

  1. Connect to your Windows Mobile Smartphone with ActiveSync
  2. Navigate to your Windows Mobile Smartphone in Windows Explorer
  3. Tools > Folder Options > View Tab > Select “Show Hidden Files and Folders

To fix this in Windows Vista:

  1. In Folder Options
  2. Check “Show Hidden Files/Folders”
  3. Uncheck “Hide Protected Operating System Files”

Now you can see the Windows directory on your Windows Mobile Smartphone.

Thanks to OHMYMY and thbhouse for these helpful hints!

You’re welcome! I spent all day trying to figure out why. I believe it will work for the same for Windows Vista.

Your way is the correct way, but I just wanted to put out the “long” way JUST in case someone doesn’t get the quick way as you posted.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > Click on “View Tab” > Select “Show Hidden Files and Folders.

how can i lock my phone back..

do you just remove the software or the stuff that i downloaded to unlock it…or how do you lock it…

  16. david Says:

always123, I think the only way to Application Lock your phone is to perform a Factory Reset (this will wipe everything on your phone to its original state when you purchased it) .. Note, this will wipe all information stored on your phone. Anything on your SIM Card or microSD Card will not be erased.

Check this link out for instructions: http://www.myblackjack2.com/?p=30

  17. always123 Says:

wait so its the application that unlock only ..or even the phone is unlocked..

  18. david Says:

always, this site deals with Application Unlocks — this means that your phone has been altered so it can run non-certified code. SIM unlocking is something else entirely, that is when you unlock your phone so it can be used on other carriers.

Application unlocking is reversible by reseting your phone to factory defaults.

Does anyone know of a hack that would remove the annoying unlock method to the keypad…..(you have to press the power button to bring up the screen to unlock the phone)….i’ve found a way…press 3 then press 1 and it brings up the screen, but i’m looking for a hack that would bring up the screen with any button press
